lehm.tech is a European cooperation of craftsmen and women. They all share a passion for ecology, ecological building materials, building for the „soul“ and experimental building methods. There is no „blinkered“ mentality: the curiosity, whether cross-craft, building material development or artistic nature is a big part of their self-image.
The lehm.tech pool has architects*, clay builders*, classical craftsmen*, wood sculptors*, landscape designers* and young creative minds who develop visions for the future*. *always female and male!
Of course, all cooperation partners* have years of experience, comprehensive skills and profound knowledge, and are either self-employed craftsmen*, tradesmen* or members of the liberal professions*. *always female and male!

lehm.tech was founded by Katharina Scholmeyer, who began working in earthen construction in Portugal in 1999: rammed earth construction, masonry with adobe bricks, artistic interior design with organic forms, renovation of existing buildings, renovation of old buildings with classic earthen and lime plasters, straw bale construction, earthen throwing techniques, earthen painting, and so on. During this time, such a comprehensive know-how and understanding of clay as a building material developed that can now only be found among the very „old“ craftsmen, the plasterers, bricklayers and stuccoers who still worked with clay in their earliest years as apprentices and journeymen.

And that is also the claim of lehm.tech: not only professional workmanship – that goes without saying – but also the recognition of the respective needs. Whether it’s the customer, the project or the building material required. There is not only one clay; there are clay mixtures and materials for historical renovations and restorations, for new buildings, for old buildings, for energetic renovations, for noble surfaces, rectangular and ornamental, for wet areas and bathrooms, ceilings and walls, on old plaster or insulation boards, in cooler climates or in southern Europe, etc.pp.
And for all of us: with measure and aim. We make your wishes, dreams and ideas our own and turn them into reality. No matter how small or large your building projects are, from 20 to 1000m2, very simple or highly elaborate, all are realised with the same love, for all we take the time. And time, we at lehm.tech think, is what you need if you want to build „in clay“. Clay as a building material takes its time – from extraction and construction to drying – an old building material with infinite quality and thus quality of life for you.
